		<description>I realize this is a really old post, but I just dropped by from the TWiT forums, scrolled down a bit, found this, and wanted to chime in.

The Federalist Papers were published under the pseudonym Publius, and the Anti-Federalist Papers as Cato.

Common Sense, Thomas Paine&#039;s revolutionary pamphlet, was published anonymously.

Poor Richard&#039;s Almanac was a pseudonym for Benjamin Franklin.

Somewhere along the way, Americans stopped using (stopped needing to use?) anonymity so much, but it does have a rich tradition in U.S. history.</description>
